Biography

Melissa Allerton

Currently as an International Yoga Teacher I split my time teaching between Bali and the United States.  I like to immerse myself in the raw Beauty, rich Spirituality, gorgeous Natural landscapes transcending the globe.  The contrast between NYCs hustle and flow and Bali offer an unprecedented balance and deep appreciation for the range of Yogic Love Gaia offers us.  I look forward to building a more diverse travel schedule full of retreats!

I devote myself entirely to the practice of all 8 limbs of yoga. It has brought me great bliss and Sacred knowledge I love to share.  Since early in life I have embraced and practiced Asana (Physical practice of poses), Pranayama (Breathwork) and Meditation.  So far I have been blessed with the opportunity to practice and learn from Sri Guru Ketut Arsana, Sri Dharma Mittra, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Thich Nhat Hanh, Pema Chodron, Ruth Lauer-Manenti, Edwin Bryant, Alan Finger, Andrew Tanner,  Dashama Konah Gordon,  Donnalynn Civello.

The invaluable blessing of a childhood in my family's fine dining restaurant in upstate New York birthed my hungry love of fresh, wholesome, delicious international food.  My high standard for exceptional quality service, preparation, presentation, delivery and local organic ingredients combined with my sophisticated discerning palate allow me to offer my clients the best personalized healthy gourmet nutrition.
